Our beginning.
Mid Island ABI was founded by Linda Saunders, RN.
Linda has been working as a Registered Nurse on Vancouver Island since 2011. While she spent nearly a decade in acute care settings, she discovered her passion in community nursing, where she developed a deep appreciation for providing care where people are most comfortable - in their own homes.
Throughout her nursing career, Linda has worked with clients living with complex health conditions, mobility challenges, chronic wounds, chronic lower leg swelling, and vascular disease. Through her six years of work in the community, Linda has recognized that many individuals face significant barriers accessing timely vascular assessments. Long wait times, transportation challenges, and mobility limitations make it difficult to access these assessments, delaying important clinical decisions related to lower limb vascular health and compression therapy.
Mid Island ABI was created to help bridge that gap by providing professional, in-home vascular testing throughout mid Vancouver Island communities. By bringing assessments directly to clients, Linda aims to improve access to care while providing physicians and nurse practitioners with objective vascular data to support their clinical decision-making.
Linda is committed to delivering thorough assessments, clear communication, and compassionate, client-centred care in the comfort of each client’s home.
